Huntley, IL (May 6, 2025) – A 55-year-old Pingree Grove woman has died following a five-vehicle crash near Huntley on May 3.

The collision happened at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Route 47 and Foster Road north of Huntley, according to authorities. Four people were taken to the hospital following the crash.
A passenger in one of the vehicles, Araceli Almarada-Mondragon, 55, of Pingree Grove, was seriously injured and taken by helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where she later died. However, ISP is still investigating the deadly crash and has not released further details related to the incident.
