Ankin Law and its founder are among many in Chicagoland who are saluting an in-state team that’s headed to college basketball’s national championship weekend.

Illinois men’s basketball qualified for their first Final Four in 21 years on March 28 with a win over Iowa in Houston. It completes a memorable tournament run where the Illini won four-straight games – two in Greenville, South Carolina before a sweep in Texas.
It’s the sixth Final Four that Illinois has made in program history and just the third in the modern era. It completes a major rebuild for the program under head coach Brad Underwood.
This achievement means a lot to Attorney Howard Ankin, who is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois. It also means a lot to Deon Thomas – the Illini men’s basketball program’s all-time leading scorer – who is also a spokesperson for Ankin Law.
The pair teamed up for commercials this fall that have run all season and will continue through Illini’s games in Indianapolis.
You can watch the pair’s tribute to Illinois making the Final Four in the video.
