12/01/25 (Chicago, IL) – Abbott, one of the largest diabetes tech companies in the world, has recalled approximately 3 million constant glucose monitors (CGMS) from the Freestyle Libre 3 and Freestyle Libre 3 Plus lines due to incorrect low readings. Over time, inaccurate readings could cause users to make misinformed treatment decisions that lead to serious injury or death.

November 24th 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Tesla, Inc., of Reno, Nevada has issued a recall of around 10,500 Powerwall 2 AC Battery Power Systems due to the risk of the lithium-ion battery overheating and, in some cases, causing a fire or smoke. This presents a serious risk of injury or death to consumers.

November 14th 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Food to Live, a company in Brooklyn, NY, has issued a recall of its packaged Organic Moringa Leaf Powder and its Organic Supergreens Powder Mix due to possible contamination with Salmonella.

October 29, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Hormel Foods Corporation of Austin, Minnesota, has issued a recall of around 4,874,815 lbs of frozen chicken breast and chicken thigh products after multiple reports of metal pieces found within the food products. To date, no illness or injury has been reported. The USDA has classed this as a Class I recall, meaning that

October 20th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – VESTA.DS, Inc., of Ontario, California has recalled Gas-Fired Tankless Water Heaters due to the potential for carbon monoxide poisoning. A flaw can cause the exhaust duct to become cracked and allow poisonous gas to leak into the home.

October 1st, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Texas-based Hillshire Brands Company has recalled over 58 million pounds of corn dog and sausage-on-a-stick products, including popular brands like Jimmy Dean and State Fair. The corn dogs recalled may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically wood fragments embedded in the batter.

September 17th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Warehouse giant Costco has issued a recall of it’s Kirkland Signature Prosecco Valdobbiadene after discovering that the 750 ml bottles may shatter spontaneously, which could lead to serious injury.

August 28th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Unichem Pharmaceuticals has issued a nationwide recall of one lot of Cyclobenzaprine due to a dangerous labeling error that could put the wrong medication into consumers’ hands.

August 19th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Tandem Diabetes Care is issuing an update to correct a dangerous error on select models of their t:slim X2 Insulin Pumps. This error can lead to an interruption in insulin delivery to insulin dependant patients, leading to a potential spike in blood sugar that could be life-threatening if not treated promptly.
