Chicago, IL (July 21, 2025) – Police are searching for the driver on an SUV who hit and seriously injured a 58-year-old woman in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood on Monday night, July 21.

According to Chicago police, the woman was walking on the side of the street, in the 500 block of North Pulaski Road, when she was hit by a car around 10:50 p.m. Police said the victim sustained trauma to her body and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.
According to police, the woman was hit by a 2002 Maroon GMC SUV, possibly a Yukon XL. The driver of the vehicle fled southbound on Pulaski. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Major Accident Investigation Unit. No further details were immediately available, however, as authorities continue to investigate the incident.
