Chicago, IL (May 23, 2025) – Illinois State Police (ISP) troopers said that a car plummeted off of the Stevenson Expressway and burst into flames after a collision on Friday, May 23.

The crash happened early Friday morning near the southbound ramp to Pulaski Road. It was also unclear what caused the crash or if there were any other injuries, but one driver fled the scene after the collision. Though the ISP has not released any other details about the crash, an inquiry is still ongoing.
