Woodstock, IL (May 25, 2024) – A collision on Saturday in the north suburbs left three people hospitalized, two of them with serious injuries.
According to the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District, the collision occurred at around 2:25 p.m. in McHenry County, at the junction of Route 176 and Dean Street.
Per fire rescue crews who assisted at the scene, a minivan, and a motorcycle were involved in the collision. Upon the arrival of emergency personnel, the two people riding in the vehicle were not breathing, and one of them was being given CPR by an onlooker. Both of the victims, who suffered severe, potentially fatal injuries, were taken to hospitals by helicopter and ambulance, respectively, stated authorities.
According to authorities, the man operating the minivan also sustained injuries and was sent to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. The collision is being investigated by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and the Lakewood Police Department.
