Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Illinois

Serious crashes, including those involving pedestrians, motorcyclists, bicyclists, and beyond, are all too common across Chicagoland. While you can do nothing to stop others from driving negligently, you can seek compensation if you get injured. Your actions in the immediate aftermath of a car accident can significantly impact the outcome of your claim, so it is best to seek legal representation as soon as possible. For instance, by preserving evidence and seeking medical attention promptly, you can show the necessary documentation to establish liability and the extent of your injuries.

With legal representation, members of the family who meet the eligibility criteria can pursue civil litigation to recover damages after their loved one’s death. Such damages from litigation may include but are not limited to, funeral costs, pain and suffering endured before the decedent’s death, loss of companionship, and more. Courts may even award punitive damages in instances of extreme negligence, such as driving under the influence of alcohol.
