Streator, IL (May 30, 2024) – According to authorities, three people were in critical condition at a Peoria hospital after a crash into a building in Streator on Monday afternoon.

Details of the crash and photos of the crash scene were released by the Streator Police Department, which said that one vehicle became airborne and crashed into a building in the 1700 block of North Bloomington Road, which is also Route 23, at about 3:00 p.m. on Monday. It’s unclear if any other vehicles were involved, or how many people were on the ground when the incident took place.

A male driver and two other women were taken to OSF Center for Health in Streator, then transported by Life Flight helicopter to a Peoria hospital, according to police. No further details were released, however, as the investigation proceeds.
