Shantice ‘Wasn’t Alone’ After a Work Injury Thanks to Ankin Law

It was an injury that caused her to miss a significant event in her family while also putting strain on her day-to-day life.

That’s why Shantice J. was fortunate to have Ankin Law in her life after being injured at work, teaming up with people ready to help her in a difficult time.

“It felt good to know that I wasn’t alone,” said Shantice, who broke her ankle stepping off a work truck in June 2024. It caused her to miss some of the events around her daughter’s high school graduation.

At the recommendation of her mother, who knew someone helped by Ankin Law on a case, Shantice called the firm shortly after getting hurt. Attorney John Powers and legal assistant Lupita Sanchez took over from there, working with the client as she recovered from the ankle fracture.

Through the year-and-a-half working with Ankin Law, Shantice was impressed with the constant communication from John and his staff. She was never on her own through the ordeal, which meant a lot when he picked up her settlement check in July.

This is another example of Ankin Law’s prowess in helping those in Chicagoland who’ve been injured. That’s why firm remains the largest filer of workers’ compensation cases in the State of Illinois.
