See the ‘Day in The Life’ of A Law Clerk at Ankin Law

One of the things we’re most proud of here at Ankin Law is a Law Clerk program, which gives students interested in the law the chance to see what it’s all about.

Justice Taylor has been part of this initiative at our Chicago law firm for nearly a year, and she serves a very important daily role for our clients.

So, what is that?

Well it’s busy for the graduate of DePaul University who is handling a number of different tasks as a Law Clerk while helping out our Personal Injury clients.

Beginning in the morning, Justice goes to work immediately getting medical records and other necessary documents for attorneys for their cases. At the same time, she’ll also help the Intake department by answering calls from potential clients when its needed.

When warranted, she’ll forward them along to Intake to get our work started for them.

“Just knowing that you are helping someone out there, even if it’s just getting their records or you’re just checking up on them or even taking their intake call saying, ‘Hey, I have an injury, I need help, and I don’t know what to do,” said Justice of her work. “Telling them that you’re going to transfer them to a person, an intake specialist that can further help their case. That alone is is very exciting and rewarding.”

You can see what the “Day In The Life” of an Ankin Law Clerk entails through the eyes of Justice in the video.
