Romeoville, IL (January 8, 2026) – A deadly crash early Thursday morning, January 8, left one person dead and another injured after a car fell onto Interstate 55 in Romeoville. The incident happened during pre-dawn hours and involved vehicles on both a frontage road and the interstate.

Emergency units were called to the scene around 4:23 a.m. after reports of a serious crash near Frontage Road and Taylor Road. Authorities said the vehicle was traveling west on Frontage Road when it lost control while approaching a curve.
