Peoria, IL (May 5, 2024) – A head-on crash near the Louisville Slugger Complex late Saturday night has left a Dunlap High School Senior dead.
The Peoria County Coroner says the crash happened just before 11:45 p.m. Saturday night on North Orange Prairie Road, near the Louisville Slugger Complex. Coroner Jamie Harwood says an 18-year-old Princeville woman was reportedly heading northbound on Orange Prairie Road when her vehicle was hit head-on by a southbound vehicle in the northbound lanes. An autopsy is scheduled to take place on Tuesday. In the interim, the PPD is investigating the collision, but no further details are available.
