Peoria, IL – Two Killed in Vehicle Crash on SR 24 at 2500 E

Peoria, IL (August 17, 2024) – Two men have been pronounced dead after the Woodford County Sheriff’s Office reported a call of a vehicle accident with injuries early Saturday morning on State Route 24 near the intersection of 2500 East in Rural El Paso.

Deputies received the call around 3:45 a.m. The events leading up to the incident remained unclear, but officials confirmed that the crash took place on the westbound side of Route 24. Two victims, both males in their early 20s, were discovered deceased at the scene. It’s unclear if anybody else was hurt in the incident, but an inquiry into the collision is underway. No further details were released in the interim.
