Odin, IL – Three-Car Accident, Injuries on US Hwy 50 at Railroad

Odin, IL (July 5, 2025) – Three drivers were involved in a chain-reaction crash on U.S. 50 just east of the railroad overpass in Odin on Friday afternoon.

Initial information indicates a van driven by a 60-year-old man in Centralia was eastbound when he was unable to stop for two pickup trucks stopped in traffic waiting for another vehicle to complete a left turn in front of them. The driver of the first pickup he struck was 25-year-old man. The impact forced that man’s pickup into a picked stopped in front of him driven by a 68-year-old woman.

The drivers were checked on the scene by Odin First Responders and United Medical Response, but their current conditions are unclear. State Police are handling the crash, but reports are not yet available. However, witnesses were asked to contact authorities.
