It’s one of the days that brings the best out of Chicago over a few miles and 26.2 miles across 29 of Chicago’s neighborhoods.

From Streeterville to Lakeview, the Near West side to Pilsen, Chinatown, Bronzeville and then finishing in Grant Park, the Chicago Marathon challenges and inspires over 50,000 runners to pull of one of the more remarkable athletic achievements.
Nothing beats doing that for the very first time, which Jessica Lopez, an employee in the accounting department at Ankin Law, pulled off for the first time on October 12.
The native of Chicago completed her first marathon in any city, participating to raise funds for “Run DV Out Of Town” along with the challenge of completing 26.2 grueling miles.
It’s for that reason that we featured Jessica in the most recent edition of the “Getting Personal Podcast” from Ankin Law, where we introduce you to the people who make our law firm go on a daily basis..
Jessica was interviewed by Social Media Manager Larry Hawley, who also ran on October 12, completing his fifth Chicago Marathon and 13th overall. The pair discussed what they saw on the course while Jessica described the sights and sounds of over two million people cheering her on that special Sunday.
