Jonesboro, IL (July 22, 2025) – Two people were injured after a two-vehicle crash in Jonesboro on Monday, July 21. The Illinois State Police said the crash happened at around 9:20 a.m., along Illinois Highway 127 and IL Highway 146.

State police said two vehicles were involved in the crash. One person was taken to an area hospital with injuries while another person was flown out to a regional hospital with injuries. The Union County Sheriff’s Office said State Highway 146 in Jonesboro was closed due to the crash at around 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning, though the highway reopened by about 12:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, the cause of the crash is unknown at this time. Though the ISP has not released any other details about the crash, an inquiry is still ongoing.
