Joliet, IL (April 17, 2024) – One person was killed, and four others were injured in a three-car crash in the Joliet area on Thursday night, Illinois State Police said.
Police said a Volkswagen Jetta sedan and a Chevrolet Silverado truck were heading north on IL-53 when a Cadillac sedan traveling south collided with both vehicles ahead of Louis Road. Officers said that the Volkswagen and the Chevrolet had struck the Cadillac. The driver of the Cadillac was pronounced dead, police added. Four other people were injured and transported to area hospitals. Further details were not immediately available, but an investigation is ongoing.
