Building one’s practice of law is a journey that comes with experiences and time, containing both good and bad experiences when working on cases.

It’s the best way for a lawyer to gain the skills necessary to work effectively for their clients – and a journey one person from Ankin Law found quite valuable.
Attorney Chris Garrett has grown his practice here since January 2018 after graduating from University of Illinois at Chicago Law School. By working on a number of different cases, he’s been able to develop himself into a seasoned attorney, earning his elevation to partner in January 2025.
This only came through his time working hard for Personal Injury clients, learning what works and what does not in order to get help for those who are injured.
“I have stared in the face of adversity countless times in my law practice. I’ve learned I can learn by failure. I’ve learned everything that I’ve learned by success,” said Chris of his confidence in his skills. “The best part is, I know that I’m equipped to have whatever fight I need to have.”
You can learn more about that in this edition of “It’s Personal” from Ankin Law in the video.
