Hoffman Estates, IL (November 19, 2025) – A woman died after a fiery two-vehicle crash on Sunday, November 16, at the intersection of Golf Road and Bartlett Road in Hoffman Estates. Police responded shortly after 12:30 p.m. following reports of a severe collision involving injuries.

Witnesses said both vehicles left the roadway after the impact. One vehicle struck a tree and caught fire with two people trapped inside. Bystanders rescued a man from the burning vehicle, but they could not reach the woman inside.
Fire crews arrived and extricated the woman, identified as a 23-year-old victim. Paramedics airlifted her to Loyola University Medical Center. She passed away early Monday morning.
The rescued man was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center, though his condition was not released. Two occupants of the second vehicle, a man and woman, were taken to Lutheran General Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
