Glenview, IL (August 24, 2024) – Police, firefighters and paramedics from Glenview responded at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday, August 23, to a report of a crash with injuries at Lake Avenue near Magnolia Street Glenview. There was a report that a woman was ejected from one of the vehicles.
Police were first on the scene and reported three people hurt. A woman, possibly in her 40s, was found unresponsive. She was transported with life-threatening injuries in a Glenview Fire Department ambulance with extra paramedics on board to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
A second person in unknown condition was also transported in a Glenview Fire Department ambulance. A third person with non-life-threatening injuries was transported in a Prospect Heights Fire Protection District ambulance to a nearby hospital with injuries initially believed to be non-life-threatening.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. In the interim, the Dixon Police Department, the Dixon Rural Fire Department, the Dixon City Fire Department, and Advance EMS Ambulance Services assisted at the scene.
