Deerfield, IL (August 23, 2024) – A traffic crash closed the intersection of Deerfield Road and Wilmot Road on Thursday afternoon, August 22, though authorities are continuing to investigate the details surrounding the collision.
Police were asking drivers to use an alternative route and to expect delays while traveling near the area. Deerfield police sent out a social media alert regarding the crash at around 2:40 p.m. Although officers later said the intersection had reopened, their on-scene inquiry lasted at least an hour and a half.
