Congrats to Madison Lewandowski on Passing the Bar Exam!

This normal routine to get from the train to the office would be anything but on one special day in the Fall of 2025 for one of our employees.

That’s when Madison Lewandowski, a law clerk at Ankin Law, received notice that her results for the Illinois Bar Exam were available.

A quick detour to a coffee shop followed as she quickly whipped out her laptop and proceeded straight to her email. Madison’s normal morning was about to get much, much better than she might have expected.

“I literally started jumping, crying,” said Madison when the email revealed that she had indeed passed the Illinois Bar Exam.

That means this recent graduate of the University of Illinois-Chicago Law School had officially started her professional legal career. Madison will now become a lawyer at Ankin Law, needing only to be sworn in later this fall and she’ll join our attorney roster.

This completes a great year for Madison at Ankin Law, where she’s been working as a law clerk since the summer of 2024. During that time, she’s worked extensively with both Attorneys Jeff Schulkin and Matt Friedman, benefitting from their tutelage and decades of experience.

You can hear more from Madison on what it means to her to pass the bar exam and how Ankin Law helped her journey to becoming a lawyer in the video.
