Clay County, IL (July 26, 2024) – Illinois State Police Troop 9, along with Farina EMS personnel and the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, responded on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 5:20 p.m. to a report of a motorcycle accident.
The incident occurred one mile north of the Edgewood Road exit on south 1625E in Clay County and northwest of Iola. Clay County Coroner Bryce Henry was called as the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. However, no further details were released, and officers with the Farina PD asked witnesses to step forward. In the interim, the Farina Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the accident.
