Chicago, IL (May 4, 2024) – Chicago Police Department officers are looking for the hit-and-run driver who struck a woman in a Bucktown crosswalk on Saturday evening, leaving her badly injured. The incident happened around 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of Armitage and Hoyne.
Another driver told police that a dark-colored Bentley passed her by driving into the wrong lane of traffic and then struck the 40-year-old woman as she crossed the street, a CPD report said. The victim, who lives in Logan Square, suffered broken bones and internal bleeding, and officials say she remains in critical condition at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. The Bentley driver continued heading west on Armitage without stopping, and CPD’s Major Accident Investigation Unit is still investigating.
