Chicago, IL (November 2, 2025) – Three people died on Sunday morning, November 2, after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 near the I-57 split. The crash happened around 1:52 a.m. on southbound I-94, according to the Illinois State Police.

Several vehicles collided in the area, causing major damage and blocking all lanes. Drivers immediately stopped to help as emergency crews rushed to the scene.
Emergency crews arrived within minutes. Paramedics worked urgently to assist those trapped inside their vehicles. Despite their efforts, three people died at the scene. Officials are withholding their names until families are notified.
Troopers shut down all southbound lanes at Ninety-Fifth Street to allow for cleanup and investigation. Crews worked for several hours before reopening all lanes around 7:27 a.m.
