Chicago, IL (March 6, 2026) – Several people were injured after a van crashed into a liquor store on Thursday afternoon, March 5, in Chicago. The accident happened around 12:40 p.m. at L&J Liquor, located at 260 North Pulaski Road.

Authorities said a 54-year-old man was driving a van eastbound on Lake Street when the vehicle collided with a Toyota sedan. After the initial impact, the van continued forward and crashed into the liquor store building. The force of the collision caused injuries to three people who were inside the business at the time.
Emergency units arrived and evaluated the victims at the scene. A 63-year-old man, a 69-year-old man, and a 44-year-old woman inside the store were hurt, though officials said their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
