Chicago, IL (January 5, 2025) – According to officers with the Chicago Police Department, a man was critically injured after being hit by a car on the city’s South Side early Sunday morning.

The incident happened at about 4:50 a.m. on Sunday in the 2600 block of West 60th Street, police said, and the man was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. Officers stated that more details on the incident would be shared with the public once they become available, though one driver was taken into custody. Witnesses were asked to contact the CPD in the meantime.
