Chicago, IL (May 11, 2024) – According to authorities, a collision on the West Side of Chicago, on the Eisenhower Expressway, took place on Friday night and left four individuals with critical injuries.
According to Illinois State Police, an accident occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 290 near Kostner Avenue just before 6:00 p.m. At least one person was ejected in the crash, though the total number of victims or vehicles involved remained unknown.
A spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department said that at least two people were sent to Stroger Hospital, and two other victims were sent to Mount Sinai Hospital. All four victims were said to be in critical condition. No further details were released, however, as the investigation proceeds.
