Chicago, IL (May 28, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident reported in the Chicago area on Friday claimed one person’s life. The incident took place in the city’s Englewood neighborhood.
At around 9:30 p.m., on May 24, authorities were notified that they were needed at the scene of a crash on West 59th Street. Reports show that an individual stole a car and went on a high-speed chase before crashing into an unknown number of vehicles. A 15-year-old girl and other people involved in the crash were injured. The girl was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital for emergency treatment. A 25-year-old woman and a 16-year-old female were also injured and rushed to area hospitals. Three additional victims were also injured and transported to area hospitals. A man in his 20s was fatally injured and pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
