Chicago, IL (September 26, 2024) – Eight people were injured, three critically, in a vehicle crash on the South Side on Thursday afternoon, Chicago fire officials said.
Emergency responders were at the scene of a crash in at 98th and Cottage Grove Avenues in Pullman shortly after 4:00 p.m. The Chicago Fire Department said at least eight people were transported by ambulance from the scene for treatment. Three of them were in critical condition, and the rest ranged in condition from serious to good.
The injured were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, Roeland Hospital, Advocate Trinity Hospital, and Christ Hospital for treatment. In the meantime, the circumstances of the crash were not immediately known, but an inquiry into the crash is underway. No further details were released in the interim.
