Chicago, IL (January 1, 2025) – A man died after a crash that took place on Monday night in Chicago’s Avalon Park neighborhood.

Around 10:00 p.m., officers responded to the site of the accident, located at 7900 block of South Avalon Avenue, after fielding reports from dispatchers. One driver was taken to Trinity Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet identified him.

It’s unclear if any other injuries were reported, but Area Two detectives are investigating at this time. Witnesses were asked to get in touch.
