It’s almost time for children in Chicago to head back to school – and there’s a major kickoff on the South Side to celebrate the occasion.
The 96th edition of “The Bud Billiken Parade” stepped off on Saturday, August 9 many took to Martin Luther King Drive along wfor one last gathering before classes begin. The event has been running in Chicago since 1929.
Ankin Law was once again proud to show support for the event, which the firm has done for the past few years.
Attorney Howard Ankin is himself a big supporter for the event, and appeared in commercials that ran before and during “The Bud Billiken Parade” on WLS-TV, ABC 7 Chicago.
In addition, Ankin Law had a presence during the parade itself as Attorney Phil Risley was on the route handing out some gear that kids could use when they return to school in the coming weeks.
This event is one of many philanthropic events that we participate in as a way to give back to the Chicagoland community that we serve by helping those who’ve been injured.
