For the fifteenth year in a row, Ankin Law participated in the Race Judicata, the primary fundraiser for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS). The September 12th, 2019 race marked the 25th anniversary of Race Judicata. Nearly 5000 members of the Chicago legal community took part this year. Ankin Law was a proud sponsor of this year’s race and had a firm-high 33 people who got involved.
On September 18, 2019 Howard Ankin of Ankin Law and Margaret Benson, Executive Director of CVLS appeared on The Jam morning show to discuss the success of this year’s race as well as promote the mission of Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. Race Judicata is a lakefront race with great music, delicious food and drinks, picturesque scenery along with Chicago’s most active and influential judges, lawyers, paralegals and other professionals. The event is a 5K Run/Walk and afterparty, benefiting Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation in their mission to ensure that the law works for everyone.
