It was an injury that caused her to miss a significant event in her family while also putting strain on her day-to-day life.

“It felt good to know that I wasn’t alone,” said Shantice, who broke her ankle stepping off a work truck in June 2024. It caused her to miss some of the events around her daughter’s high school graduation.
