Ankin Law Attorney Helps Middle Schoolers Learn More About the Law

One of Ankin Law’s most tenured attorneys had a chance to make a career day at a school in Buffalo Grove unique for a group of students.

On April 2, workers’ compensation partner Scott Goldstein helped to organize a mock trial at Aptakisic Middle School, where the students picked a judge, jury, with two students taking on the roles as opposing attorneys.

With Scott’s guidance, the class went through the exercise from the opening arguments to an eventual verdict.

“It was a very interesting and fulfilling activity with the kids and it’s a neat way to show some students what it’s like to be a trial lawyer,” said Goldstein.

A lawyer at Ankin Law for 20 years, Goldstein knows a thing or two about the courtroom, having represented thousands of our clients who’ve been injured at work. He’s a big reason why Ankin Law is the largest filer of workers’ compensation in the State of Illinois.
