Chicago, IL (April 15, 2026) – Eight people were hurt in a two-car accident early Tuesday, April 14, on the city’s West Side. The crash happened around 4:15 a.m. in the 5100 block of South Hermitage Avenue in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Police said a man driving a black SUV was heading north with five passengers when he reportedly ran a stop sign. The SUV then struck a squad car carrying two officers.
