What Day Is Most Important to A Chicagoland ‘Teacher of The Month?’

What is a piece of advice that an award-winning teacher from Chicagoland give his students as they continue in their academic career?

For Naperville North High School English teacher Matt Sniadecki, the biggest concerns a day of the week which he believes students must be the most focused.

The March 2026 Ankin Law and WGN Teacher of the Month winner was asked shortly after receiving the award what words of wisdom he gives to his students when it comes to succeeding in school.

“My advice to students is to, No. 1, look at Tuesdays as the best day of the week,” said Sniadecki. “It gets you through everything that you have. The other thing is to have empathy for everyone.”

A cross country coach along with his duties in the classroom as an English teacher, Sniadecki is the seventh teacher to receive the “Teacher of the Month” award from Ankin Law and WGN this academic year.
