A Most Unique Commercial Filmed During a Chicago Parade

Chicago is no stranger to having filming during one of its iconic parades over the last few decades.

That includes movies like “The Fugitive” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” ones that have become forever associated with the city.

Now the list of those who’ve taken the opportunity to capture some video during these type of gatherings in the city includes Ankin Law.

During the 2025 Lights Parade on the city’s famed Michigan Avenue, we joined the float of 93.9 Lite FM to tape a few commercials to be run during the holiday season.

Before the parade, Attorney Howard Ankin and 93.9 Lite FM’s Melissa Forman to tape the intros for the spots with a number of employees from both companies joining in the fun.

After that, we hit the parade route on the “Magnificent Mile” with everyone as we greeted the thousands who lined up on the parade route. Of course, the cameras rolled as Howard and all of our employees took to the float or the street to get in the holiday spirit.

While not the first time that Ankin Law has shot a commercial in Chicago, it is the first time the firm has taken part in the Lights Parade.

You can watch how we made this commercial and one of the longer spots that we created in the video.
