Meet the First Ankin Law/WGN Teacher of the Month in 2025-2026

One of our favorite community activities in Chicagoland is officially back – and we couldn’t be happier.

For the first time in the 2025-2026 academic school year, Ankin Law joined with WGN-TV to present our “Teacher of the Month Award.” It’s an initiative we’ve done for years with Channel 9 – and we were in Elmhurst to start things off.

We traveled to York High School in September to greet English teacher Isador Parrini, who is a second-generation teacher in the Chicago suburb. She was nominated by one of her students, sophomore Liam Resendez, for the honor.

Attorney Howard Ankin traveled to York High School along with a crew from WGN-TV, including reporter Lauren Jiggetts, to officially present the award to Parrini.

He did so with a number of her students surrounding them as Howard presented the school with a check for $1,000, which will be used in whatever way the winning teacher sees fit at the school.

Ankin Law will join with WGN-TV to present the “Teacher of the Month Award” from September through May as we travel around Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana to honor outstanding educators.

You can learn more about Ms. Parrini in the video.
