Chicago, IL (August 8, 2025) – A man died Wednesday evening, August 6, after being struck by a vehicle in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.

The Chicago Police Department reported that officers were called around 7:30 p.m. to the 1400 block of West Estes Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a 46-year-old man lying unresponsive in the street with visible head injuries.
Paramedics transported the victim to Saint Francis Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities determined the man had been hit by a dark gray 2018 Buick Encore SUV bearing Illinois license plate CQ19696.
