He played multiple sports growing up and even continued with one through college.

So it made sense that Chris Garrett was going to look to do something with sports when he graduated from Illinois Benedictine University where he played baseball.
But things have a way of changing over time, and that happened in law school which proved to be a boost for Ankin Law.
Chris decided to go on a personal injury path when he studied at UIC Law, which led him to Ankin Law in January 2018. Since then, he’s made his way up the ranks at the firm, ascending to the level of partner while also taking on Medical Malpractice cases.
Yet the sports mindset that was dominant early in his life is still part of him as he continues his career.
“Because you learn how to fail, so much more than you do in other sports,” said Chris on how his time in baseball helped prepare him for the law. “You know what’s coming, you know what could come, you prepare yourself and then you are better the next time you’re at it.”
