Meet Ankin Law’s March 2025 Teacher of the Month

To find one of the best teachers in Chicagoland in March, we made our way out to Oak Lawn with WGN News.

It was there we found Mr. Dale Hillegonds, who has built quite the resume at Chicago Christian Schools since he arrived in 1988.

He coaches both history and science while also coaching three different sports, showing the same passion for students now as he did when he arrived 37 years earlier. His longevity means that he’s taught generations of families, getting students attention with creativity along with a quick wit.

That’s why he was nominated and won the Ankin Law and WGN Teacher of the Month Award for March 2025. Director of Marketing Eric Revels was on hand to present a check to Mr. Hillegonds, with the funds being used at his discretion to help the school.

You can learn more about Mr. Hillegonds and see more about his story in education in the video.
