From Dreaming of Helping Athletes to Aiding Hurt Workers at Ankin Law

There are things that you dream of doing and then there’s something that you were mean to do.

Perhaps that’s how one would describe the journey of Attorney Scott Goldstein in his law career, most of what’s taken place at Ankin Law.

Yes, as a major sports fan, he initially thoughts about going into the practice on the sports side of it. This would include being a sports agent, helping athletes fulfill their dreams on the biggest stage.

When Scott arrived at UIC Law School, he realized this might not be the right path, but being an attorney was still very much in the cards. Instead of going into sports, he went into an aspect of the law close to his heart.

With both parents heavily involved in unions and fighting for workers rights in Milwaukee where he was raise, Scott decided to pursue Workers’ Compensation work. He arrived at Ankin Law in 2005 and since then has been fighting for the rights of injured laborers ever since.

“I came here knowing that I could try to help people that are injured, and a lot of times, some of our clients our of limited financial means,” said Scott. “So to be able to help them and provide the legal help and support that they need I think is always something that I cherish doing and I try my best to help.”
