When this reception manager at Ankin Law comes to work every day, she has her parents in mind.

Not only is Elizabeth Salgado trying to honor them by doing good work for our clients, but she also remembers the struggles they had when they arrived in America.
“I come from an immigrant family and I know what it’s like when there is an injustice,” said Elizabeth. “My parents have been on the other side of the chair.”
Because of this, she tries to do everything she can to help people who are struggling and call Ankin Law for help. Many times, this includes people who have just arrived in our country or are just establishing themselves in America.
They don’t have someone in their corner, but Elizabeth can be that person to aid them with their legal matter. This includes a work injury, car accident, slip and fall or even a violation of a person’s civil rights.
A fluent speaker of Spanish, Elizabeth is ready to help anyone that gives Ankin Law a call for help.
“Having somebody that’s really rooting for you and advocating for you is very important,” said Elizabeth, who has been with Ankin Law since 2024. “Being part of it, even as a receptionist, means a lot to me.”
We feature Elizabeth in our running series called “It’s Personal,” where employees at Ankin Law talk about what motivates them on a daily basis at our Chicago law firm.
