It seems like every television show or movie involving a lawyer shows a close relationship with the lawyer’s private investigator. Possibly, this provides the context for my deep sadness in the passing of my good friend Tony Liace on August 3, 2024.

As an attorney, it’s nice to receive an award that recognizes your work. When it comes to workers’ compensation law, being honored for your work by highly skilled peers and judges across the country is even more gratifying.
When I look back on 2023 I feel both grateful and proud. I’m grateful to be in my 31st year of practicing law surrounded by the best attorneys and staff in Chicago. I’m also proud of a number of “firsts” that took place last year.
