Social Security Disability

John has spent the last decade practicing exclusively in Social Security Disability law, handling both SSDI and SSI cases. He has represented claimants at well over 2,000 hearings and has a track record of high success rates while providing genuinely compassionate representation to his clients. Disability law is deeply personal to John. His first experience with an SSI claim was within his own immediate family, while he was working as legal assistant and before he had even applied to law school. With intimate personal knowledge of just how backwards the Social Security system can be, he focused his law school experience and his career on working to represent those trying to navigate a challenging system. John’s career has been heavily focused on representing claimants, but he also has experience working at the Social Security Administration as an Attorney Advisor, drafting decisions and offering feedback to judges as they decided cases. John has consistently maintained positive relationships with the clients he represents and the judges to whom he presents cases.

John proudly completed the evening program Chicago-Kent College Law while working full-time as a paralegal and participating in the Moot Court Honor Society. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. John is an avid baseball fan and enjoys biking, reading, writing, and playing guitar. His free time is devoted to his family and coaching his sons in little league baseball.
