Jeff Lust

Born and raised in Chicago, Jeff has spent much of his successful 40-year legal career practicing in Louisiana and Texas. Jeff gained valuable experience and insight into Personal Injury law as an associate and partner with various prominent insurance defense firms in New Orleans and Dallas. His experience also includes 18.5 years as Managing Trial Attorney for CNA Insurance Companies’ Dallas Staff Counsel Office.

Jeff’s desire to help individual plaintiffs was kindled not solely by his legal experience, but rather by his involvement with the aftermath of hurricane Katrina when he travelled to New Orleans from Dallas to help friends, relatives and mere acquaintances clean up and start rebuilding in the wake of that devastating event. Witnessing firsthand, the resilience and spirit of the people of New Orleans rebuilding their lives and their city even though many had to fight to obtain the assistance they deserved in order to do so, bred his desire to become an effective advocate for injured plaintiffs. For 7 years prior to joining Ankin Law, LLC, Jeff put his legal and life experience to work successfully helping clients fight for their rights as an attorney with Louisiana’s most prominent plaintiff personal injury firm in New Orleans.

Jeff earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University – Bloomington and his JD from Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans.

In his leisure time, Jeff enjoys cooking, watching sports including football, basketball and golf as well as listening to a wide variety of music, singing, reading and spending time with his wife Tory and his extended family.
