Anne Weyer grew up in Chamberlain, South Dakota and is the proud daughter of retired Army 1st Sergeant Bruce Blankley. Anne holds degrees from Buena Vista University of Storm Lake, Iowa and Cottey College of Nevada, Missouri and will be studying law at the University of South Dakota School of Law in the fall of 2019. She has spent her early career working in the arts and culture field in South Dakota, most recently fundraising for the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra. Anne’s active volunteer roles in community nonprofits and local government inspired her to pursue a career in law.
Anne serves as Treasurer for P.E.O. Chapter BY, a philanthropic educational organization for women which supports low-interest loans and scholarships for education. She mentors women to the workforce at Sioux Falls Dress for Success and volunteers for NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) and the ACLU. Her hobbies include performing in community choirs, biking, archery, and reading. Anne lives in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with her husband Chris and her pet rabbit Napoleon.
