Dear Howard:

Congratulations on being selected as a WILG Top 100 Injured Workers’ Attorney. Thank you for your hard work on behalf of injured workers and for your continued support of WILG.

Enclosed please find the “Top 100 Injured Workers’ Attorney” plaque. We know that you will display this proudly in your office.

As you may know, WILG works diligently on behalf on injured workers. To name a few things; S. 2731 was introduced in the US Senate to assist in facilitating the MSP process. It is the companion bill to HR 1982 and has been deemed the “SMARTER” bill in reference the SMART bill that passed last year. WILG has assisted over 40 states with their legislative battles. In nine months, WILG has filed several amicus briefs including Castellanos, Westphal and Lyons. WILG has also formed several new Task Forces. These include:

Fraud Task Force—Chaired by Leonard T. Jernigan, Jr., NC
Evidence Based Medicine/Medical Treatment Guidelines Task Force—Chaired by Cathy Stanton, NY
Opioid Addiction Study Task Force—Chaired by Deborah Kohl, MA
Workplace Safety Task Force—Chaired by Malcom Crosland, Jr., SC
AMA Guides 6th Edition Task Force—Chaired by Steven Birnbaum, CA

Please consider volunteering to serve on one of these Task Forces or a WILG committees or section. All are viral to WILG and all assistance is welcome. For more information or to volunteer, please check out our website, www.wilg.org or contact me directly.

We hope to see you at the 2014 Convention, being held this October at Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara, CA. This is going to be a fabulous event full of education and networking with like-minded friends and colleagues! It is designed to be informative as well as create connections that are invaluable and will last a lifetime. It will also have built in time to enjoy the beautiful venue. We hope to see you there!

Best regards,

Jennifer L. Comer
