October 20th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – VESTA.DS, Inc., of Ontario, California has recalled Gas-Fired Tankless Water Heaters due to the potential for carbon monoxide poisoning. A flaw can cause the exhaust duct to become cracked and allow poisonous gas to leak into the home.

October 1st, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Texas-based Hillshire Brands Company has recalled over 58 million pounds of corn dog and sausage-on-a-stick products, including popular brands like Jimmy Dean and State Fair. The corn dogs recalled may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically wood fragments embedded in the batter.

September 17th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Warehouse giant Costco has issued a recall of it’s Kirkland Signature Prosecco Valdobbiadene after discovering that the 750 ml bottles may shatter spontaneously, which could lead to serious injury.

August 28th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Unichem Pharmaceuticals has issued a nationwide recall of one lot of Cyclobenzaprine due to a dangerous labeling error that could put the wrong medication into consumers’ hands.

August 19th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Tandem Diabetes Care is issuing an update to correct a dangerous error on select models of their t:slim X2 Insulin Pumps. This error can lead to an interruption in insulin delivery to insulin dependant patients, leading to a potential spike in blood sugar that could be life-threatening if not treated promptly.

August 11th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – DermaRite Industries has issued a recall of several of the company’s antiseptic and antimicrobial products due to contamination with Burkholderia cepacia, bacteria that can cause severe, or even fatal, infections in individuals with compromised immune systems.

August 6th 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Backyard Kids of Plano, Texas has issued a voluntary recall of 192,000 KidKraft Farm to Table Model Play Kitchens due to a risk of strangulation. July 30th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Various above ground pool brands have recalled over 5,000,000 48-inch and taller above ground pools due to a design flaw that has led to the deaths of 9 children. These pools, sold since 2002 by Bestway, Intex, and Polygroup, were recalled on July 21st, 2025.

July 17th, 2025 (Chicago, IL) – Walmart has recalled approximately 850,000 Ozark Trail stainless steel water bottles due to a dangerous lid defect that may cause serious injuries, including permanent vision loss.
